Kèr ājjècù (/əˑj/ /ˈʤɛcʊ/ [oil; grease] [greedy]) is a subtropical Town located in the Meaavea Region of the Tetbur Commune.

The name Kèr ājjècù is derived from the Tauric language, as Kèr ājjècù was founded by Ochre Eurypterids Waiē̼ā, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Kèr ājjècù has a yearly average temperature of 28°C (82°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 32°C (89°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 25°C (77°F). Kèr ājjècù receives an average of 275 cm/y (108 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Kèr ājjècù covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 3438 m (11279 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Kèr ājjècù was founded durring the early 17th century in early spring of the year 1642, by Ochre Eurypterids Waiē̼ā. The establishment of Kèr ājjècù was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Ochre Eurypterids Waiē̼ā struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Kèr ājjècù as a prison colony.

Kèr ājjècù was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 17th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kèr ājjècù is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Kèr ājjècù is is constructed arround a series of crampt flagstone mainstreets which form overlapping circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town sits comfortably behind a palisade wall complete with a timber gatehouse and battlments. The town's timber-based walls are visibly old, but also obviously maintained semi-regularly. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with ocasional mantance of the towns defences.

Right off the bat Kèr ājjècù hits you in the face with its success. Everyone, even the peasants, are dressed in well made clothing. Every tool and implement you can see is finely made, and people will boast to you as obvious strangers of the wonders which can be found in their markets. More interestingly is a total lack of beggars, and plenty of new buildings are going up even as you speak. Somehow this town has come into quite a lot of wealth, and recently from the looks of things. Precisely how it has gained its wealth is a mystery. Kèr ājjècù is, in a word, disorder. People seem to be allowed to do as they please with little harmoney to anything. It feels less like a town, and more like a spot people just happened to place their homes. Yet there are small elements here and there which show the underlying structure of the community. It’s just so complex, organic, and flowing one can only understand what is a piece of the puzzle, but not what its neighbors are.

Cultural Notes

Kèr ājjècù's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by dynamic designs and complex architectural plan forms; intended to heighten feelings of motion and sensuality, and frequently based on the oval. It made extensive and extreme use of: Grandeur, Contrast, Curves and twists, Rich surface treatments, Gilded statuary, Bright colors, Vividly painted ceilings, Fragmented or deliberately incomplete elements, Large-scale frescoes, Dramatic central projections on an external facade, the use of plaster, stucco, or marble finishing, Illusory effects such as trompe l’oeil, and pear-shaped domes. While beloved by the nobility, the common folk tended to despise the style due to the massive consumption of resources required for even a small building constructed in this style.

Due to the actions of local Kami, winter is long in Kèr ājjècù.

The Living Topiary near Kèr ājjècù are known to be a mutant strain of the creature.

Kèr ājjècù's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves line dance to channel Necromancy energies of tier 3 via proclamations.
